Recent TV Show Favourites

Since my exams are now officially over, instead of using my early freedom to get out and about, I have decided instead to catch up on some tv shows I've had to put aside for exams. (Okay I still watched a lot of tv while exams were on but not as much as I could...)

So these have been my favourites recently:

Of course I have been watching Game of Thrones. This season has been explosive, especially the season finale (Don't worry I won't spoil it but honestly it's still making me tear up now)

Next is ITV's period drama, Grantchester. Set in Cambridge and based on the novels by James Runcie it follows the local vicar Sidney Chambers and police officer Geordie as they solve crimes together. The bromance is great and the scenery is beautiful and I believe portrays 1950s rural England rather well.

Then we have the Tudors. I am loving this so far but not quite enough to binge watch like the others. However it is still a favourite as it is very interesting and entertaining. Who new Henry VIII was such a brat?

And finally we have the amazing Whitechapel. I absolutely love this TV show and the only one I can watch back to back, again and again and still enjoy it as much as the first time. It's a great, gritty, British crime drama with modern and historic twists.

FOTD #1

Face of the Day

I don't often wear a full face of makeup but when I do it often contains something along the lines of the products shown above. I don't often like wearing foundation as I find it breaks me out and masks my freckles so a light base is ideal.

For my face makeup I just conceal my dark circles and blemishes and also define my nose slightly using George by Asda 'Super Boost Concealer' (which smells amazing) and then dust over Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed powder and bronze up my face using Benefits 'Hoola' Bronzer and add a bit of a glow with a Natural Collection Blush in 'Pink Cloud'.

Now it's onto eyebrows (very important) and eyes. My eyebrows are naturally bleach blonder, like actual bleach blonde, and because they are so light it makes my forehead look extra large. So to darken my brows i use Maybellines Brow Drama scuplting brow mascara in 'Dark Brown' to tint my eyebrow hairs and then to define them further I use the colours from the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette; 'Naked 2' on the inside and 'Faint' on the tail of my brow. Then to hide the veins on my eyelids I cover my lid with 'WOS' and define my crease slightly using 'Naked 2' and then finally after curling my lashes I use a mascara. This time I used L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes 'So couture and So black' in 'Blackest Black'.

And finally, on my lips I line them using Avons Glimmerstick Lipliner in 'Pink Bouquet' and fill them in with Avons lipstick in 'Pout'

And that is my 'heavy' makeup. Sorry for such a long post but I hope you found some new products to interest you (I highly recommend the lipliner)

Rainbow Read-A-Thon

RAINBOW READ-A-THON

This is a tag going around YouTube at the moment that I thought I would like to take part in. But since I don't have a YouTube Channel I thought I would just post it here.

The tag was created by youtuber Riley Marie and the challenge is to "read 6 books that make up the color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple). You can combine 2 colors on up to two books! OR you can read 6 books with same color spine (ex. 6 books with a red spines)" And you may read any type of book you please. The read-a-thon is a week long starting today until the 22nd May.

The 6 books I've decided on are:
  • Red - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K.Rowling
  • Orange - Your Birthday Book 18th January by someone on Amazon (It was a gift, sorry)
  • Yellow - Thirteen by Tom Hoyle
  • Green - Green Rider by Kristen Britain
  • Blue - Looking For Alaska by John Green
  • Purple - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by, the ever amazing, J.K.Rowling
I hope you consider doing this tag to :)
